Electricity. Pants. Skyscrapers. The pencil. Everything starts as an idea. And every idea has a story behind it. The concept of IdeaPaint was hatched in 2002 when a group of college buddies were brainstorming on a business project. The more ideas they had, the less room they had to write them. Frustrated, the conversation turned away from the assignment to the problem at hand. Too bad we just can't paint the walls and write all over them.

Millions of worn out and unwanted whiteboards and blackboards end up in landfills each year. With IdeaPaint, there’s nothing to throw out. You apply it directly over the existing wall or surface in your home. When you’re ready for something new, just paint over it. IdeaPaint can even restore your old whiteboards and add years to their life.

IdeaPaint ships in small boxes and uses less packing materials than traditional whiteboards. And we don’t use valuable raw materials typically found in other dry-erase products. No wood, steel, aluminum, vinyl or resin—just paint.

Air Quality
 
Many dry-erase surfaces contain formaldehyde, which slowly releases gas and diminishes indoor air quality for the life of the product. IdeaPaint is formaldehyde-free, conforms to all U.S. EPA regulations (including California) and does not produce any harmful gas once it’s dry.
